Sitejabber, a consumer website, has revealed the most popular beauty brands by makeup fans around the globe. Analysing over 11,000 images and comments, the results are in, to reveal the best-loved brands in the cosmetics industry.
‘Holy Grail’
NYX Cosmetics picks up this accolade, and is said to be the ‘holy grail’ by makeup users on the cosmetics addiction Reddit thread. NYX produces skincare formulations as well as eye and lip makeup.
Benefit Cosmetics products are so popular in the UK, and the company’s eye makeup alone rank numbers 1, 2 and 3 for ‘prestige’ mascara.

Some of the comments on the Reddit makeup thread show high praise indeed, with people identifying passionately with specific brands like NYX and Benefit. With such strong support, NYX, Benefit, and the other winners on the list, all look set to be prominent brands for the foreseeable future.

According to Sitejabber, NYX’s figures show it has ranked top makeup brand by being the most mentioned, at 42%. Rankings held by other brands were also revealed: Maybelline came in at number two, rated 37% in the category for face products, while coming in at number three at 27% was Tarte Products. Urban Decay came close with 26% in fourth place, and just trailing one per cent behind in the fifth spot was Too Faced Cosmetics.
